MCH 31st Annual Hunter Pace

Please come join us for a day of sport in the beautiful Walthour Moss Foundaton. Riders from all disciplines are invited to join in the competition. The terrain is varied with excellent footing. The courses are clearly marked with arrows. There are optional jumps of all sizes.

Rules

• Comfortable attire.
• Hard hats required for jumpers.
• Juniors under 18 are encourages to participate, but there must be at least 1 adult per team.
• Teams of two or three ride either a long course of 8-10 miles or a short course of 4-5 miles. Trail Blazers will only compete on the short course.
• There will be a secret optimum time for each division.
• Teams will be sent out at 4 minute intervals.
• Arrive in ample time for registration.
• Entry fees are not refundable.
• Substitutions are permitted.

Divisions

• Coyote Run
  • The optimum time will be as if following the hounds at Full Cry; teams will need to mostly canter – when safe to do so.
• Fox Chase
  • The optimum time will be slower than Coyote, but teams will need to move on at a brisk pace – mostly trot or canter.
• Hilltopper
  • The optimum time requires the team to ride at a moderate pace – mostly trot with some walk.
• Trail Blazer
  • The optimum time allows teams to go at a leisurely pace – mostly walk.

Patron:  For a contribution of $275, this year’s Patrons will receive:

• Entry fees for a team of three
• Preferred start time
• Blue Patron badges
• Three lunches
• Recognition on the board at Lyell’s Meadow and in the Hunter Trials Program.

Sponsor:  For a contribution of $175, this year’s Sponsors will receive:

• Entry fees for a team of two
• Preferred start time
• Red Sponsor badges
• Two lunches
• Recognition on the board at Lyell’s Meadow and in the Hunter Trials Program.

Prizes

• Results will be posted as soon as they are tabulated.
• Awarded to the winners and ribbons given to the six teams in each division who finish with the times closest to the optimum.

• Current negative Coggins
• Signed release for each rider
• Entry form

Fees

• Adult: $75
• Junior: $40

• Download and complete entry form
• Submit your entire team’s entries with payment, proof of current negative Coggins test, and a signed release for each team member.
