30th Annual MCH Hunter Pace

Please come join us for a day of sport in the beautiful Walthour Moss Foundation. Riders from all disciplines are invited to join in the competition. Riders should be comfortably attired, but hard hats are required for those who plan to jump. Juniors under 18 are encouraged to participate, but there must be at least one adult per team. The terrain is varied with excellent footing. Teams of two or three ride either a long course of 9-10 miles or a short course of 5-6 miles. The courses are clearly marked with arrows. There are optional jumps of all sizes. There will be a secret optimum time for each division. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and ribbons given to the six teams in each division who finish with the times closest to the optimum. Trail Blazers will only compete on the short course.
Coyote Run: The optimum time will be as if following the hounds at Full Cry; teams will need to mostly canter – when safe to do so.
Fox Chase: The optimum time will be slower than coyote, but teams will need to move on at a brisk pace – mostly trot or canter.
Hilltopper: The optimum time requires the team to ride at a moderate pace – mostly trot with some walk.
Trail Blazer: The optimum time allows teams to go at a leisurely pace – mostly walk.

If possible, send your entries as a team. For safety and comfort, teams will be sent out at four minute intervals. Coyote Run teams will start between 8:30 and 9:00. Please arrive in ample time for registration. Entry fees are not refundable, but substitutions are permitted. Results will be posted as soon as they are tabulated, and we will message you when prizes or ribbons may be collected.
Proof of a current (within one year) negative Coggins test is required for each horse as is also a release signed for each rider. Copies of both should accompany the entry, but if necessary may be emailed to ceci.liner@yahoo.com or presented at registration. There are no exceptions.

For those not choosing to be Patrons or Sponsors, the entry fees are as follows:
Entry Fees (if received before November 7)
- Adults: $75 (Post-Entry $80)
- Juniors: $40 (Post-Entry $45)
- Additional Lunches may be purchased for $15 per person.
